Corporal Don Cover, Rota Marine 1973-1976, holding the United States Marine Corps flag during filming of The Wind and the Lion in 1974.
During the filming of The Wind and the Lion in Seville, Spain in 1974, I carried the Marine Corps flag. Another Rota Marine was under the US flag. The first few rows of Marines behind us were from the barracks. They were followed by Spanish army soldiers from a base outside Seville and a Spanish army band dressed as navy. This was a very interesting time in my life and definitely a part of Marine Barracks Rota history. Don Cover, Rota Marine 1973-1976

During filming of the movie The Wind and the Lion in Seville, Spain in 1974, Corporal Don Cover, Rota Marine 1973-1976, is under the Marine Corps flag.
The identity of the Marine carrying the US flag is unknown. Most of the first six rows in the formation were United States Marines.

The Marine on the far right is Major Boston (Barracks XO), and Player number 41 is Lt. Ellis (Platoon Leader) and a super athlete. Circa 1970.

to Pochi and your wedding, and scuba diving Santa Petre, but need a little help here. Anyone remember their last name?

This picture was taken just before the five of us went on vacation to Kentucky and Tennessee. The dogs really enjoyed walking the many trails at Mammoth Cave Natonal Park. We all enjoyed the excitement of the Bowling Green Kentucky Veterans Day Parade. Jackie and I really enjoyed seeing Nashville, Tennessee and revisiting Makers Mark Distillery. Vacations are nice, but it's also great to get back home to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Joe Montana, Rota Marine 10/69 to 10/71.
