PALACE CASINO • BILOXI, MS. RESERVATIONS AND CHECK-IN
To make your reservations call 228-432-8888 Exenstion 2460 between 9 AM and 5 PM Monday Thursday Friday.
Speak with CRYSTAL or MINDY. Refer to Code 4801. If they are unavailable please leave them a message and they will call you back.
On arrival: Check-in is inside the front door of the casino to the left. Check-in time is 4:00 PM - earlier if rooms are cleaned.
Expenses should be prepaid by JUNE 15 Thursday.
Bus $60.00 per person. We may take food and drink on the bus if anyone wishes to.
Fare to WWII Museum and Theater- $12.00 for age 65+ or Military retiree's. $15.00 for adults.
Everyone must have a picture ID to go to the Stennis Space Center.
Dinner for Banquet: Make selection from menu and send us your selection and the amount for it.
Menu is posted below. Tax, tip and non alcoholic drink are included.
Incidentals: $5.00 per person for supplies and snacks for use in the hospitality suite.
For those who like to gamble: There is the CASINO HOPPER; a fixed route service that serves casinos, attractions and businesses on Hwy 90, Calllavet Boulevard and Bayview Avenue in Biloxi. The Casino Hopper provides 15-Minute service seven days a week.

ITINERARY
Thursday Oct. 14th.
Arrival. Beginning at 4:00 PM meet and greet in the hospitality suite.
Friday Oct. 15th                    
9:00 AM  Bus leaves casino for Stennis Space center.                                  
Lunch in Bay St. Louis will follow visit to space center.                                 
Return to hotel via Beach Blvd. (26 mile man made beach).                                      
Be sure to watch for trees carved into birds and fish along this route.
Trees were damaged during Katrina.
Saturday Oct. 16th
Local sightseeing on your own. A list of suggested sights will be provided.
6:00 PM  Banquet at McElroy's on the Bayou.
The hotel will transport those who wish. Approx. 3 miles East on hwy. 90
Sunday Oct. 17th                     
7:30 AM Bus leaves for New Orleans. WWII museum.
9:00 AM Arrive - tour museum, see films there.
10:45 AM Walk across street to other building to see 4D film.
NOON  Board bus for French Quarter. Eat lunch and sightsee.
4:30 PM Board bus for return.
Monday Oct. 18th
Check out and departures. Check out time is 11:00 AM

I want to remind everyone that we need to sign up for the Tour Bus before the reunion, not at the reunion. We need 36 passengers to get a discount. Once we have the numbers, we will post a mailing address where you can send the tour bus fee. Thank you for your cooperation.

We need people to sign up for the bus trips so we know what the price will be per person.
Following is the Tour Bus Schedule:
Friday, October 15—Visit Stennis Space Center and have lunch in Bay St. Louis, Ms.
Leave Palace 9:00 AM. Return approximately 3:00 PM Admission is free.
Sunday, October 17—Trip to New Orleans, La. 
Leave hotel 7:30 AM. Arrive WWII Museum 9:00 AM Take bus to French Quarter. Lunch and sightseeing in French Quarter until 4:30 P.M.
This is an example of cost for 2 days:
30 people sign up - $60.00 per person.
36 people sign up - $50.00 Per person.
DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY until we find out how many passengers will go on the bus.
We will post a mailing address where you can send the Tour Bus fee.

NOVEMBER 18, 2009 
Good News: The contract for the Palace Casino Hotel was signed today. The ladies in charge were very nice. They said they would arrange transportation to the restaurant for those who wanted it. They also waived the set up fee—usually $100.00. They will send us a copy of the contract soon. A phone number will be provided to call for reservations. We will let everyone know when to start making reservations and the last date they can be made.

The Rota Marines 2010 Reunion will be held on October 14-18, 2010, at the Palace Casino Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi.
All Marines who ever served at the Marine Barracks in Rota, Spain are invited to attend the reunion. Bring your wives and other special guests to our festivities. So mark your calendars, start packing your Duffle Bags, and see you all in Biloxi!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Thursday the 14th—Arrival Day.
Saturday the 16th—Banquet Day.
HOTEL
The room price for Thursday and Sunday nights will be $59.00
The room price for Friday and Saturday nights will be $99.00

BANQUET
The Palace Casino Hotel has no banquet room, so we are planning to hold the banquet at nearby restaurant. With twenty rooms booked, they will provide us with a Hospitality Room. The hotel is a smaller property but is a very nice hotel with a good buffet. We are asking the casino if they will provide a shuttle bus to and  from the restaurant. The two restaurants we are considering for our banquet are two-three miles away. Complete banquet plans to be posted soon.
AIRPORT
For Marines and guests planning to fly into the Gulf Coast; there are three possible airports:
Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPH). Has a shuttle service to casinos. 15-20 minute drive.
Mobile Regional Airport; 45 minute drive.
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport;  90-105 minute drive.
LOCAL TOURS: To be announced.

The Rota Marines 2009 Reunion in Washington, DC was a smashing success. Kudos to Mike Foley for organizing
such a magnificent reunion. We salute his dedication to duty and selfless contribution to the Rota Marines. And a special thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Judy Scanlon for doing such a terrific job of getting us the tour bus. Everyone had a great time visiting the magnificent Marine and military historical sites.
